Elk Grove police searching for thief on the run
Elk Grove Village police are pursuing a suspect on foot on the village's west side, stemming from a stolen vehicle report.
Authorities said the search was ongoing as of 2:30 p.m. Friday, after they discovered a stolen vehicle parked on Roosa Lane east of Meacham Road and north of Interstate 390.
A posting on the village's Facebook page asked those who notice any suspicious people to phone 911. A description of the suspect wasn't immediately available.
