Broken water main shuts down part of Route 47 in Huntley
A broken water main has caused the closure of part of Route 47 in Huntley, police said.
Police were notified at about 4 p.m. of a broken water main leaking onto the highway. One lane of northbound Route 47 was closed and traffic delays are expected, officials said.
Officials said the Village of Huntley Public Works and the Illinois Department of Transportation are working to fix the problem, but it was unclear when the lane would reopen.
