Warren Township man waives extradition to Idaho

A man with an active out-of-state arrest warrant for a sexual offense has waived extradition in Lake County court and will be transported back to Idaho to face charges, authorities said Friday.

Kevin Adams, 46, who lived near the 36300 block of North Route 41 in unincorporated Warren Township, was taken into custody Dec. 12 after providing a false name to police during an investigation into another crime, authorities said. Upon learning Adams' true identity, the detectives discovered he had an active arrest warrant out of Boise, Idaho.

He has been held in Lake County jail since, authorities said.

Adams was charged with obstruction of justice for lying to police and pleaded guilty to those charges Jan. 11, then waived extradition back to Idaho.
