Library board to vote on expansion plan
The Cook Memorial Public Library District board will meet Tuesday to vote on plans for a $6.75 million expansion of the Aspen Drive Library in Vernon Hills. The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at Cook Park Library, 413 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. The expansion plan would add 15,000 square feet of space to the Aspen Drive Library, which opened in 2010. Officials say funding will come from savings, a loan and other fundraising efforts - but not a tax increase.
