District 15/211 speech tourney volunteers wanted
Volunteers are wanted to mentor students in a Palatine Township Elementary District 15/Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 speech tournament. Volunteers can be English and/or Spanish speaking, and will be asked to work with one to two students for 20 to 30 minutes per week for six weeks, guiding students on performing their speech. Anyone who is interested is asked to attend one of two mentor information sessions on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the District 15 educational service center, 580 N. First Bank Drive, Palatine. The first session is at 3 p.m., and the second begins at 3:45 p.m.
