Carol Stream Park District holds fair for job hunters

Carol Stream-area residents interested in being park district lifeguards, dance instructors, camp counselors, mini-golf clerks and more had a chance to learn about potential part-time and seasonal positions Wednesday during the district's third annual job fair.

Aimed at those 16 and older, the fair provided the perfect opportunity to get a line on a part-time summer gig or, in some cases, to fill immediate openings.

Visitors to the fair also received a free one-day fitness center pass.

"We've had great success with this job fair," Recreation Supervisor Megan Henness said. "I've met some really great staff through this process."

Those joining the park district staff receive an individual, all-inclusive Fountain View Fitness Center membership while employed that includes unlimited access to the fitness center, as well as more than 80 fitness classes every week, lap swim in the district's 25-yard pool, running track, saunas, child care and open gym.
