Palatine St. Pat's Day sponsors, entries wanted

Community participation is being solicited for Palatine's St. Patrick's Day celebration. Organizers of the eighth annual "Paint the Town Green" St. Patrick's Day event are seeking sponsors and entrants for the March 17 parade, Irish market and scavenger hunt in downtown Palatine. Applications are being accepted through Jan. 31 at stpatspalatine.com. A limited amount of openings are available for the Irish market on a first come first served basis. Participants for the scavenger hunt will be accepted online until March 9 and on the day of the event at the Irish market. "This is one of the very few St. Patrick's Day parades and celebrations in the Chicago area, and I'm excited to see it return to Palatine for its eighth year," said event coordinator Liz Noe.
