Hanover Park man pleads guilty to aggravated domestic battery

A Hanover Park man, whose argument in April with a woman and her mother turned physical, has pleaded guilty to aggravated domestic battery.

Pedro Mendoza-Lara, who had no prior criminal background, pleaded guilty Thursday in exchange for 24 months of probation, court records show.

Prosecutors say Mendoza-Lara, 38, got into an argument with the woman's mother about 2:30 a.m. April 29. After the woman tried to calm him down, prosecutors say, he began arguing with her, striking her and pushing her to the floor.

Mendoza-Lara was also ordered to pay $654 in fines.
