Firefighters helping Salvation Army

Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District personnel will be helping to raise donations for the Salvation Army today. The Barrington Countryside firefighters will join the Fox River Grove Fire Protection District from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ringing bells for the Salvation Army of McHenry County red kettles at the Jewel-Osco at 800 Northwest Highway/Route 14 in Fox River Grove. The store is in the Stonehill Shopping Center. "It's our privilege to support the work of the Salvation Army and the important role they play in helping those in need, during the holidays and throughout the year," Barrington Countryside Assistant Fire Chief Scott Motisi said. "We hope residents can take some time out of their busy schedules to come by and see us."
