Arrests made in Waukegan murder
Three men have been arrested and an arrest warrant has been issued for a fourth in connection with the Dec. 11 murder of a man outside a Waukegan Walmart, police announced Monday. Charged with first-degree murder are: Octavis Jones, 21, of Waukegan; Shajuan Garrett, 18, of Zion; and Gerard Wade, 22, of North Chicago. Charged with first-degree murder in an arrest warrant is Rashaan Wade, 20, of Waukegan. The men are accused of fatally shooting Jovan DuBose, 23, of Park City, outside the Walmart on the 3900 block of Fountain Square. Detectives believe the murder was related to an illegal drug sale, according to a police news release. Wade is considered armed and dangerous, police said. The murder weapon has not been recovered.
