No injuries in Elmhurst house fire

No injuries were reported Friday morning in a fire that left an Elmhurst house uninhabitable.

Firefighters responded shortly after 10 a.m. to a house on the 300 block of Scott Street. When they arrived, they found smoke coming from the roof.

The fire, which was contained to the attic space, was extinguished within 20 minutes, officials said.

Authorities were trying to determine the cause of the fire. Damage estimates were not available.
