Mancino to chair mayors caucus

Mayor Joseph Mancino of Hawthorn Woods was elected chairman of the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus at the group's Nov. 13 executive board meeting, according to a news release. This is the first time Hawthorn Woods has been represented as the group's chairman. Mancino represents the Lake County Municipal League, for which he served as president for the past two years. The caucus is a membership organization of the region's 275 cities, towns and villages to collaborate on common problems. Also on the board are: Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, 1st vice chairman; Park Forest Mayor John A. Ostenburg, 2nd vice chairman; Hillside Mayor Joseph T.
