Des Plaines to host Pearl Harbor remembrance ceremony

There will be a ceremony Thursday, Dec. 7, for the 76th anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor, which vaulted the United States into World War II, at the Prairie Lakes Community Center in Des Plaines.

The ceremony begins at 2 p.m. Thursday in the theater at the community center located at 515 E. Thacker St. The public will be invited to view a display after the ceremony.

The Great Lakes Brass Ambassadors from the Navy base in North Chicago will perform at the ceremony.
