Wauconda gets into the Christmas spirit with Holiday Walk

Wauconda-area residents - and Santa Claus - turned out Saturday for the annual Holiday Walk and a tree lighting ceremony.

They enjoyed crafts, face painting, a gingerbread-house contest and other activities along Main Street in downtown Wauconda before walking north to the Wauconda Park District headquarters for the unveiling of the town's Christmas tree.
