Naperville doctor accused of sex abuse pleads guilty to battery

A doctor accused of inappropriately touching female patients at his Yorkville office has pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated battery, the Aurora Beacon News reported.

Haohua Yang of Naperville had faced 27 sex abuse and assault counts, which were dropped in exchange for his plea, according to the report. He was sentenced to 180 days in the Kendall County jail and one year of probation. He received credit for 942 days already served at the jail, where he'd been held since he tried to enter China illegally while free on bond in April 2015, the report said. Yang also had to submit to DNA indexing, as well as pay court costs and probation fees.

Yang's medical license was suspended in December 2014, when the assault accusations first became public, according to the Beacon News.
