Expansion of Lake County Circuit Clerk's office underway

The Lake County Circuit Clerk's office this week began construction to relocate the File Viewing Room and Microfilm Department within the office.

During construction, the information desk has been temporarily relocated to the east side of the office, near the traffic counter. The File Viewing Room will remain open and in its current location until the project has been completed.

The Circuit Clerk's Office will be open and all regular services will be available to the public during construction.

The work is the first in a series of projects to expand the office and accommodate the future installation of public e-Filing stations. Additional projects, including expansion of the public counter and a remodel of the lobby area, will begin over the next few weeks.
