Shop local at Harper College Clay Guild sale

Just in time for the holidays, the Harper College Clay Guild Sale will showcase one-of-a-kind clay pieces.

Original items made by local artisans and students range from plates, mugs and vases to wall decor, garden sculptures, jewelry and more.

The sale - which features professional art at bargain prices - runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, and Thursday, Nov. 30, in the main concourse of the Avanté Center on the College's main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine.

The sale is open to the public. Cash and personal checks will be accepted as payment.

Harper regularly offers credit courses and Continuing Education classes in ceramics. The programs draw a variety of students of all ages from art majors to community members looking to explore and expand their creativity.
