Barlett police send telemarketing alert

The Bartlett Police Department announced that the Metropolitan Alliance of Police recently began its annual telemarketing solicitation of residents and businesses within Bartlett. Callers may imply that the Bartlett Police Department will benefit from these donations, but the department does not receive any direct benefit from these solicitations nor does it accept any such proceeds.

If a caller states he or she represents the Bartlett Police Department, officials ask that you file a formal police report so the claim can be investigated. Provide as much information as possible, including the name of the caller, the name and address of the organization and any telephone numbers provided.
