Arlington Heights police collect donations for Toys for Tots

The Arlington Heights Police Department is collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots through Dec. 8.

Toys are now being accepted at the department's temporary headquarters, 1500 Shure Drive, and at village hall, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road. Stuffed animals are not being taken.

The toys will be given to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves 2nd Battalion, 24th Marines, which coordinates the campaign and distributes toys to needy children.

The Rolling Meadows Meijer is donating gift cards for Arlington Heights officers to purchase additional gifts for children.
