Retiree enjoys helping kids at Shelter, Inc.

When I retired, I went looking for a way to help the kids in our area. Our children are the most precious members of our community, and also the most vulnerable.

I knew that the kids helped by Shelter, Inc. are from horrendous backgrounds and are desperate for our help.

The volunteers here at Shelter are a warm and welcoming community of people who, like me, want to give a happy ending to these kids who need it the most.

These young people need a new beginning, and it's wonderful to be a part of a group providing this new start to these youngsters.

The good feelings we share are contagious, and we share in our sense of happiness at knowing we've helped those most in need in our town.
