Scarecrows take center stage at Barrington festival

Fall enthusiasts flocked to Barrington's annual Scarecrow Festival on Saturday.

Memorial Park at Hough Street and Lincoln Avenue was the venue for the 17th edition of the free, family-oriented festival. Visitors were encouraged to bring old clothes for scarecrow decorating.

In addition to the scarecrows, patrons were able to decorate pumpkins and cookies. Other fun included pony rides, inflatable games and face painting for children.

Bob the DJ served as master of ceremonies for the day.
