The Lake County Housing Authority can move ahead with plans to house homeless people with mental illness at the shuttered Midlothian Manor near Lake Zurich, an Illinois appellate court has ruled. Move to disband Aurora Election Commission revived

Kane County Clerk Jack Cunningham spoke in support of disbanding the Aurora Election Commission, telling a committee of county board members he discussed with Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin what would be involved with abolishing the commission. Bulls lose season opener to Raptors

The Bulls' starters were competitive against Toronto in Thursday's regular-season opener, but the reserves struggled badly. After falling behind by 27 points in the second quarter, the Bulls came back to make the score respectable, but lost 117-100 at the Air Canada Centre. Full story.
