Autumn Harvest festival gets folks into the fall spirit

Folks got into the fall spirit Saturday by building scarecrows and decorating pumpkins during the Autumn Harvest festival at Arlington Heights' North School Park.

They also snacked on kettle corn, enjoyed horse-drawn hayrides and got their faces painted with ghosts, bats and other fall-themed symbols.

The event was staged by the village's special events commission and the Arlington Heights Park District.
