Barrington village president honored by IML

Barrington Village President Karen Darch recently was recognized for her leadership of the Illinois Municipal League board for the past year.

Darch received the kudos for her one-year presidency at the statewide organization's 104th Annual Conference late last month. She has been on the municipal league's board of directors since 2009 and is known for advocating for consolidation of municipal public safety pension funds. "We have been so fortunate to work with Mayor Darch over the past year," said Brad Cole, the municipal league's executive director. "Her passion for helping people and her commitment to good government have shown in the priorities she set for the league. The impressive outcomes of her initiatives also speak volumes as to the type and style of her involvement and leadership."
