Countryside Fire District breakfast, open house Oct. 8

Countryside Fire Protection District will host its Annual Pancake Breakfast and Open House from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Oct. 8, at Station 2, 600 N. Deerpath Drive, Vernon Hills.

This event kicks off Countryside's observance of Fire Prevention Week. Cost of an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast is $5 per person or $15 per family. Visitors can tour the station or check out the equipment. An inflatable crawl-through fire truck for children will be available and smoke alarm batteries given away.
