The Wheeling Park District Oktoberfest opened Friday night at Heritage Park.

The event continues from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at the park, 333 W. Dundee Road.

The festival includes German and domestic beers, food and live entertainment. Saturday's bands include Dan Mateja & the IPA Tribute Band and Lava Rock.

Regular admission is $5. Children 12 and younger and adults 60 and older will get in for free.
