Des Plaines Elementary District 62 superintendent gets national notice

Des Plaines Elementary School District 62 Superintendent Floyd E. Williams Jr. was one of 21 superintendents recognized by the National School Public Relations Association as a Superintendent to Watch for 2017-2018.

Four superintendents were recognized from Illinois. The program recognizes superintendents who have demonstrated dynamic leadership with a strong emphasis on communication and technology in innovative and effective ways. They engage and inform their school communities with new communication technology tools combined with tried-and-true techniques, officials said.

These superintendents have fewer than five years of experience as a superintendent and possess dynamic, fast-paced leadership with strong communication at its core, according to a school district news release.
