Palatine Oktoberfest continues with bike ride Saturday, color run Sunday

Palatine Oktoberfest got underway Friday evening at the corner of Smith and Slade streets, and will continue through Sunday with authentic German music, food, beverages and activities for all ages.

Festival hours are noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. The event, in its 10th year, is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Palatine as a fundraiser.

Saturday is Family Day, which begins with a bike ride at 11:30 a.m. at the corner of Smith and Slade Streets. Visit www.bikepalatine.com for details. At 10 a.m. Sunday is The Bridge Youth & Family Services Color Run. Information is at www.bridgeyouth.org for details.
