Color Run fundraiser Sept. 16 for The Bridge Youth and Family Services in Palatine

Palatine nonprofit agency The Bridge Youth and Family Services will have its second annual Color Run fundraiser in conjunction with the village's Oktoberfest. Check-in for the Color Run will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Towne Square, 150 W. Palatine Road in downtown. The race will start at 10:30 a.m. at Slade and Smith streets. The colors that will get on runners are considered harmless, certified and nontoxic made of baking soda, cornstarch and FDA-approved dyes easily removed from clothing in the wash. Registration is $35 per adult, and $10 for ages 6-17. An entire family is $75. Register at colorrun.bridgeyouth.org. The run will coincide with the second day of the popular Rotary Oktoberfest celebration in downtown Palatine.
