Open space celebration Sept. 10 in Mundelein
Livable Lake County will be hosting its third annual open space celebration from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Diamond Lake Sports Complex picnic shelter, 26630 Route 83, Mundelein.
The free event will feature Motown-era live music, food and games for kids.
The citizens group advocates for the preservation of open space and natural resources and opposes the proposed Route 53 extension. Free tickets will be available online at Eventbrite.
