Free child seat checks provided at Gurnee Police open house

Child safety seat technicians will provide free inspections or installations Saturday during the Gurnee Police Department's annual open house, as part of Gurnee Days.

The Gurnee police and fire departments offer free child safety seat inspections in order to assist parents in protecting the lives of the village's youngest residents. The village has several certified child safety seat technicians who will inspect, instruct, and correct improperly installed child safety seats.

The technicians will be at the police station, at 100 N O'Plaine Road, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
