Waukegan man arrested in fatal crash

A Waukegan man wanted on a warrant for his role in a fatal crash in North Chicago is in custody, authorities said. The Lake County Sheriff's Office Warrants Team and members of the U.S. Marshals Service - Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Sherrod E. Abraham, 28, of Waukegan on Aug. 1, authorities said. Abraham, a documented street gang member, was wanted on a felony arrest warrant for four counts of aggravated driving under the influence. The warrant resulted from a North Chicago Police Department investigation of a fatal motor vehicle crash in April. Abraham was arrested without incident at his residence in Waukegan and taken to the Lake County jail, where he remains held on $1 million bail. He is due in court Aug. 9.
