Jane Austen program at Palatine library
Palatine Public Library District will offer an adult program "Jane Austen and Her Women" from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16. Historian and actress Leslie Goddard will portray the novelist Austen. Goddard will explore Austen's life using monologues of the eight women of her novels to describe romance and marriage in a women's life.
