Palatine to host electronics recycling

Palatine will host an electronic recycling event 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 5, at Palatine village hall, 200 E. Wood St. Residents from Palatine and other Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County communities are eligible to participate. Accepted electronics include telephone answering machines, calculators, camcorders and fax machines. Items not accepted include dehumidifiers, humidifiers, air conditioners, vacuum cleaners, refrigerators and other large home appliances. Agency members are Arlington Heights, Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village, Evanston, Glencoe, Glenview, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Kenilworth, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Mount Prospect, Niles, Palatine, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows, Skokie, South Barrington, Wheeling, Wilmette and Winnetka.
