Palatine community center good for monarchs:

The front of the Palatine Park District's community center has been designated as a monarch butterfly way station. Officials from the Monarch Watch organization granted the designation to the facility at 250 E. Wood St. Officials said the district needed to meet criteria at this site for pesticide use, land management and the plants that are grown there. New landscaping was part of the center's recent facelift.
