Naperville police hunting armed robber

Naperville police are asking the public for help in their search for a man who stole a motorist's wallet at gunpoint early this month and then used the stolen credit card.

Police say the owner found the man breaking into his vehicle around 12:06 a.m. June 1 on the 100 block of South Whispering Hills. When he confronted the man, the suspect pointed a gun at him and then fled to the south.

The suspect is described as a black man, at least 5 feet 7 inches tall and wearing a gray hoodie and brown shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (630) 420-6006 or to contact the group at www.napervillecrimestoppers.com. Anyone providing information leading to an arrest is eligible for up to a $1,000 reward. Callers may remain anonymous.
