Buffalo Grove increases fee for ambulance service

The Buffalo Grove village board this week approved increases in the fees the fire department charges for emergency medical services. The revenue from the fees is expected to rise from $1.78 million to $1.9 million.

Village officials said if the resident's insurance policy only reimburses a predetermined amount, the resident will not be required to pay the remaining balance. However, nonresidents will be billed for any amount not provided by the insurance carrier.

Buffalo Grove trustees also approved a development improvement agreement for the Shorewood development at Milwaukee Avenue and Deerfield Parkway. The empty lot at the southwest corner will be the site for the Shops at Buffalo Grove under the aegis of Shorewood Development.
