Something for everyone during six days of Swedish Days in Geneva

The 68th Swedish Days Festival began its six-day run Tuesday in Geneva geared toward kids.

Most of the festivities through Sunday take place on South Third Street, just south of State Street. There are also food booths and activities on some side streets near the downtown area. Each day also offers free entertainment.

Many of the festivities begin at 10 a.m. each day, with free admission and parking throughout downtown.

Some of today's activities include Creation Station at James and Third streets, and a Fermilab booth with hands-on science experiments for kids, and information about tours and educational programs. Geneva History Museum trolley tours depart from James and Second streets starting at 11 a.m. Geneva's Got Talent semifinals starts at 6:30 p.m. on the Central Stage followed at 8 p.m. by Rosie & The Rivets.

Saturday is the Swedish Days Lopp 5K and the parade is 1 p.m. Sunday.
