New contract for Grayslake public works employees up for approval

The Grayslake village board is set to vote on a new labor contract that sets the benefits for full-time employees in the village's public works department.

The proposed agreement contains no substantive language changes from the current contract and provides for an annual wage increase of 3 percent.

The board will consider authorizing a new five-year agreement with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150. According to village documents, there are three full-time public works department crew members who are in the union.
