38th annual Freedom Classic July 1 in Mundelein
The 38th annual Freedom Classic run/walk and free kids' run will start at 8 a.m. July 1, at Keith Mione Community Park, 1401 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein.
Medals are awarded to the overall male and female winners and the top three finishers in nine age categories. The fee is $35 until June 27 and $40 after. Register at www.mundeleinparks.org (program #6496), in person or by mail at the park office.
A free half-mile run for kids aged 4 to 10 begins about 9 a.m. All kids who complete the run receive a special medal. Registration is not required for the youth run.
