Ingleside man on probation facing new drug charges

A 40-year-old Ingleside man accused of selling heroin to undercover officers is facing felony drug charges, officials said Saturday.

Keith A. Knigge, of the 34600 block of North Gerberding Avenue, was arrested Thursday, according to a news release from the Lake County sheriff's office.

Police say Knigge sold heroin to undercover detectives on more than on occasion during a drug investigation, according to the news release.

Knigge is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

At the time of his arrest, Knigge was also on probation for possession of a controlled substance, stemming from a separate arrest in February.

His bond was set at $100,000, and he is due back in Lake County court July 5.
