Lake Villa man charged with resisting arrest

A Lake Villa man is in custody Friday after fleeing sheriff's deputies who were called to a domestic disturbance earlier in the day, officials said.

Randall S. Grayburn, 24, of the 800 block of Sanctuary Drive, is charged with resisting/fleeing arrest, according to a news release from the Lake County sheriff's department.

Deputies responded just after 8 a.m. to a domestic disturbance on the 25500 block of West Route 134, Ingleside and, when they arrived, they spoke to Grayburn, who was involved in the disturbance, the release said. They also discovered Grayburn was wanted on a failure to appear warrant in a domestic batter case out of McHenry County, officials said.

Sheriff's deputies attempted to take Grayburn into custody, but he resisted arrest and ran away, the news release said. About three hours later, deputies found him in a marsh near Rollins Road and Blackhawk Avenue.

Grayburn was taken to the Lake County jail where he remains held on the warrant.
