Carol Stream JustPlay! event moving inside

Carol Stream Park District's annual JustPlay! Sports and Recreation Festival will go on as scheduled Saturday, despite forecasts for dicey weather - but many of the activities will be brought inside the Fountain View Recreation Center at Lies Road and Gary Avenue.

The fest, traditionally an outdoor event, will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Some attractions, including a zip line, rock wall and human football, will be held in the rec center parking lot as weather permits. Food trucks, activities sponsored by Carol Stream police and firefighters, and vehicle displays also will be in the parking lot.

Organizers say they've worked to accommodate most sponsors, exhibitors, performers and other activities inside.

Still, some activities - the Wrecking Ball, Warrior Challenge obstacle course, Cricket, Northwestern Medicine's Mobile Stroke Unit, Glenbard North sports and Kids First Sports Safety - have been canceled.
