Free smoke alarms for Highland Park residents

Smoke alarms are available at no cost to Highland Park homeowners through the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance's Smoke Alarm Distribution program.

The 10-year, sealed-in battery alarms are free but must be installed by the Highland Park Fire Department. The department received 100 smoke detectors and 14 carbon monoxide detectors through the program.
