Children check out Big Trucks at event in Palatine

The Palatine Park District Big Trucks event Saturday gave children of all ages the opportunity to see vehicles up close, even sit in the driver's seat. The event included goody bags for the first 1,000 children, a free prize raffle, a craft area, outdoor inflatables and concessions.

A variety of businesses and government organizations put vehicles on display or helped with the event in the Family Aquatic Center parking lot in other ways.
