Mother's Day tea party May 13 in Arlington Heights

The Arlington Heights Historical Museum will present a Mother's Day Tea on Saturday, May 13, in the Historic Banta House, a century-old arts and crafts inspired home that's part of the Arlington Heights Historical Museum.

The tea begins at 1:30 p.m. at the museum, 517 Vail St.

The relaxed celebration will feature steaming pots of tea, light refreshments, and a wonderful harp performance to match the setting. Tickets are $25 for Arlington Heights residents, $30 for nonresidents. There is a $5 discount for Historical Society members.

The event is appropriate for ages 5 and up, though guests under 16 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
