Knights of Columbus Hall in Arlington Heights turns 60

For the last 60 years, Arlington Heights' Knights of Columbus Hall has hosted its share of fish frys, parties and business meetings.

Now, following an internal renovation of the main hall, leaders will rededicate the building at 15 N. Hickory Ave. during a chamber of commerce Business After Hours event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25. The leaders are looking to promote the hall and obtain more private events.

"It's a gem in the middle of Arlington Heights," said Mark Stastny, the hall's director of marketing. "The future is very bright for the hall and the folks who utilize the hall."

The hall has new paint, trim and a "brighter atmosphere," Stastny said, and bathrooms were upgraded in recent years. More renovations are planned.

The hall, which hosts two Knights of Columbus councils, was a retail furniture store in the 1950s.
