Funeral set for Huntley woman killed in motorcycle crash

Funeral services for a Huntley woman who died from injuries in a motorcycle crash Saturday in Boone County are scheduled this weekend.

Carolyn Hladilek, 32, was a passenger on one of two northbound motorcycles northbound on Capron Road, just north of Hunter Road, when they left the roadway after failing to negotiate a slight curve, according to a Boone County sheriff's office news release.

She and the second motorcyclist, Michael Kingsley, 40, of Woodstock were pronounced dead at St. Anthony Medical Center, according to Winnebago County Coroner Bill Hintz.

The condition of Hladilek's male driver, who was flown to Mercy Health Rockford Hospital with critical injuries, is unknown. The crash is under investigation.

Visitation for Hladilek is 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A second visitation is 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley, immediately followed by a funeral Mass celebration.

A graduate of Marquette University, Hladilek was a project manager for Durabar Co. in Woodstock. She loved singing, traveling, and riding on her Harley-Davidson motorcycle, according to family members.

She is survived by her husband, Jason Hladilek; her father, Paul Culler; her mother, Joan Santana; and her sister, Katie Dilbeck.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Culler family to be used for Jason's medical expenses. For more information, call the funeral home at (847) 515-8772 or visit defiorejorgensen.com.
