Buffalo Grove named best place to live in Illinois

Buffalo Grove has been named the best place to live in Illinois and seventh best in the country by the neighborhood website Niche.com based on quality of public schools, crime rates, employment opportunities, cost of living and other factors.

"We are honored to be recognized as the best place to live, work and raise a family," said village President Beverly Sussman in a news release.

The Niche.com rankings resulted from the assessment of 15,783 communities based on data from a variety of resources, including the U.S. Census, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Centers for Disease Control and FBI. Ratings and reviews from residents are also taken into consideration.

Naperville was ranked second and Long Grove was ranked fourth. More information is at www.niche.com/places-to-live/rankings/places/best-places-to-live/s/illinois.
