Teatro ZinZanni dinner-theater set to open in Chicago next year

Cabaret artists, comedians and cirque-style performers will descend on Chicago's theater district beginning in April with the opening of Teatro ZinZanni, a dinner-theater venue located in the Cambria Hotel at 32 W. Randolph St.

Titled "Love, Chaos & Dinner," the spectacle will unfold on the hotel's 14th floor in the Spiegeltent ZaZou, described as a "Belgian mirror tent filled with historic touches," a long forgotten space uncovered during last year's renovation of the 1926 building.

Described as the "Kit Kat Klub on acid" in an announcement released Wednesday, Teatro ZinZanni will feature improviser Frank Ferrante, cabaret crooner Lady Rizo and aerial trapeze artists Duo Rose along with comedians Joe De Paul and Tim Tyler, hoop aerialist Elena Gatilova, Parisian acrobat Domitil Aillot and the body juggling Anastasini Brothers. Teatro ZinZanni founder Norm Langill directs the production, which will be accompanied by a menu designed by chef Debbie Sharpe of Chicago's The Goddess and Grocer restaurants.

Performances begin April 5. Tickets start at $123 and include a four-course meal.
